When it is zero degrees and you're wearing three layers of pants / socks / sweaters and you go for a walk. Quebec City was a new level of cold, but I secretly love it. The cold makes me feel so aliveee. I scurried for a weekend to snow topped everything with my family a few weeks ago. Because DC isn't enough Winter for me this year, and I love Winter.
Le charming funicular & icy river
You'll never find a quainter little street filled with boutiques and art shops and galleries and all the best Winter decor. Canada knows how to do Winter.
Every time I return from a trip, I always want to walk more in my daily life. My trips are usually filled with long walks touring new places on foot, drinking it all in, feeling the city under my feet. You notice so much more about your surroundings that way. To keep that feeling / that ease when I'm home has always been a challenge, but one always renewed when I return from a trip. Hoping to keep committed this time.
