Dealing with Summer has been a CHALLENGE this year. We moved to an apartment without central AC and with lots of bright windows. As much as I love it, it is a difficult adjustment. But I've been successfully dealing with this hot, chaotic Summer by reading library books and not typing away on my close-to-catching-fire computer (it's great to unplug every night), and letting my tea cool to a nice 60 degrees before drinking it each evening. I'm trying not to move too much. Even the hibiscuses are working overtime to keep me happy, and just look how exhausted they are in this heat. I'm binging on Netflix and attempting handstands in yoga. I ride my bike and try to make time for life, instead of work. We're going on vacation next week and I'm so ready for a change of scenery. New, different, red hot scenery. That's what I'm looking forward to. This Summer is all about sporting the most minimal bra I can find and slapping on all natural deodorant. Really morphing into a crazy hippie while trying out new tea blends. Cooking dinner most nights and actually having a good relationship with food, though my dying cucumber plants might tell you otherwise. Trying to block out the sinking depression of the political climate and deliriously laughing at the Daily Show instead. How's your Summer going?
