Wow, it has been over a month since I've been here. I have lots of excuses though, don't you worry. The top of which include: working, moving, celebrating the holidays and sleeping. I have looked forward to this state of being since early November - the post-holiday season and it has finally arrived. We have survived Christmas, and I plan on sleeping my way through New Years only getting out of bed to get more water for my water color painting and to ship out the orders that come in online. As much as I love money, I also love taking breaks soooooooo serious quandary.
Mr HH got me this amazing book for Christmas and it is on my current "to do" list. Also on that list: coloring in Andrea Pippins' new coloring book, collecting more coloring books and reading a few other books on creative living. Also on my metaphorical coffee table (the physical coffee table did not make the moving cut) is Justina Blakeney's The New Bohemians which I am already enthralled with. I tried to get my momma to buy it for me from the book store but she doesn't believe in fancy coffee table books that cost $30, ha.
2015 was a rough year with lots of ups and downs, so I'm trying to take some time for myself these days with piles of books and long Harry Potter marathons with naps in between. Self care has never been something I've been great at - it usually gets tossed aside so I can pursue whatever new idea floated into my head at the moment. It's a fun and very satisfying way to live life, for sure, but it is also exhausting and taxing on my life.
Currently, I'm looking forward to a 2016 of pursuing dreams, keeping my eyes on the road ahead and not looking back. It's time for fresh starts, new beginnings and the good kind of change. Ready? Let's go.
